A. Categories of NABH Accreditation
1. Health Care Organisations
Large hospitals (more than 50 sanctioned beds)
2. Small HCO
Hospitals, Day Care Centers, Super/Specialty Centers with ≤50 sanctioned beds
3. Eye Care Organisations
All standalone Eye Care Hospitals, regardless of size
4. Blood Banks
Hospital-based or standalone blood banks with a valid DCGI license
5. Allopathic Clinics
All the clinics following allopathic systems of medicine
6. Dental Clinics
Dental hospitals, dental teaching institutes and multi-chair dental clinics
7. Medical Imaging Services
Medical Imaging Service providers that are standalone facilities or a part of a larger healthcare organisation or a chain of imaging centers
8. Care Homes
Senior living facilities, assisted living facilities, transition living facilities, palliative care facilities, specialized care services (e.g., dementia care), and differently abled living facilities.
B. Categories of NABH Certification
1. Entry Level Hospitals (HCO)
Allopathic hospitals with 51 and above sanctioned beds.
2. Entry Level Small Healthcare Organisation (SHCO)
All allopathic hospitals with inpatient and/or daycare beds having up to 50 sanctioned beds.
3. Emergency Department in Hospitals
Hospitals with a minimum of 25 operational beds, excluding emergency beds.
4. Entry Level Dental Clinics
All dental clinics with up to 8 chairs
5. Nursing Excellence
All healthcare organisations, regardless of size, role, or complexity
